Take Care of Our Lakes
Our lakes are fed by rain, wells, and drain-off from the roads and lawns When the weather is hot the lake water evaporates and even with 3 wells running it is difficult to keep the level of the lakes at their optimum level.
We hire a company to treat the lakes to try to keep algae blooms and weeds at a minimum. They test the water monthly and report their findings.
Car washing is a problem because the phosphates in the soap feed the algae. Some communities have Sanitary Sewers and those do not drain into The Lakes. Fertilizers also feed algae. Our landscapers mow the nearest 10′ to the lakes to control no fertilizer is applied. Grass and leaves in the lakes also feed algae. Please do what you can to maintain water quality.
